For 50 years, Night Under Fire has been more than a drag race. It has been a tradition, a spectacle and one of the most anticipated nights in motorsports. On August 7, 2027, Summit Motorsports Park will celebrate a half-century of unforgettable moments with the 50th Annual Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire and the biggest chapter in the event’s legendary history is about to be written.

For five decades, generations of race fans have packed the grandstands in Norwalk to experience a show unlike anything else in drag racing. The thunder of nitro, the flames of jet cars, gravity-defying wheelstanders, side-by-side racing, pageantry and a night sky exploding with fireworks have made Night Under Fire a summer tradition for families and race fans from across the country.

Now, we celebrate 50 YEARS UNDER FIRE.

The golden anniversary will honor the incredible history of Night Under Fire while delivering the over-the-top entertainment that has made this event legendary.
