Today, the National Hot Rod Association has made the announcement to alter their remaining National Event schedule in response to the recent COVID-19 pandemic. The decision has been made to go to a 17-race schedule, while also altering the event day schedule for some events, including the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park.
In the case of Summit Motorsports Park, our four-day event has been condensed to a three-day event, with the professional classes being limited to two qualifiers for the weekend.
Friday’s run schedule will consist of only the Lucas Oil Sportsman Classes, with Saturday running as scheduled with two rounds of Professional qualifying; Championship Sunday will remain intact.
Guest service and customer satisfaction has always been our top priority, and along with the help of the NHRA, concessions will be made to our fans who have already purchased tickets, while ticket price adjustments will be made for those fans yet to purchase tickets.
Ohio is under a "Stay at Home" Order so our office is presently closed. Please give us some time to react and make the neccessary changes.
