OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU OUR FANS!
There is not a stick and ball sport or another form of motorsports that allows race fans the opportunity to enter the “locker room”, but at Summit Motorsports Park we do!  Each admission ticket allows race fans access into the racer’s pit area.  Fans can watch crew members’ race against the clock, servicing their vehicles before their driver’s next round of competition.  And there is always an opportunity to capture a few autographs and photographs along the way. 

FAN PARTICIPATION!
Summit Motorsports Park likes to get their fans excited, but more importantly we like to get the fans involved!  Friday night qualifying will be one such opportunity.  Five fans will be randomly chosen to be part of a panel of judges.  The judges will sit next to the race track and score the racers in Stock Eliminator and Super Stock's "showtime" sponsored by Croghan Colonial bank, on their ability to perform the best wheel stand during the Friday night qualifying session.  If you want to be part of our panel of judges then you need to be here!

GET TO KNOW THE DRIVERS!
You have the heard the saying…. “If you win at (fill in the blank), you can win anywhere”.  That saying holds true for the North Central Division as it is one of the toughest regions for Top Alcohol Funny Cars in the country.  There are more 5.50 second cars to fill a field than any other region in the country.  This is why winning the North Central Division Title for Mickey Ferro is so special.  He had to earn his title outright.   In doing so Ferro also placed 3rd overall in National Points, but behind heavy hitters such as perennial National Champion Frank Manzo who has won the same number of National Titles (15) as John Force, just in an Alcohol Funny Car; and Tony Bartone who is only the 3rd NHRA driver in history to have won both alcohol and fuel funny car classes. Chris Foster (2012 Cavalcade of Stars event winner), Ray Drew, Brian Harvanek and Cassie Simonton (NHRA Most Improved Sportsman Driver in 2012) round out the top five in the North Central Division point standings. 

When you are Ken Perry (2012 Cavalcade of Stars event winner), Jared Dreher, Marty Thacker, Mike Kosky, or Dave Hirata you know that in order to be the class champion you are going to have to beat the Champion, which happens to be Bill Reichert.   Bill Reichert is one of the most decorated current Top Alcohol Dragster racers in the sport.  He has won a total of ten divisional titles and five national titles.  In order to beat the Champion it is going to take more than bringing your “A” game it is going to take determination and consistency.

You can meet many of these alcohol drivers during a special autograph session which will take place each afternoon during the Cavalcade of Stars.  Many of these drivers will be back in July for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.  Start following these drivers now and watch how their season progresses.

Each admission ticket includes access into the pits and General Admission Parking is FREE!

Motorhome Camping  
Parking for motorhomes and recreational vehicles alongside the track.  Your vehicle must be classified as one of the following, Class A, B or C Motorhome, Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheel, Sport Utility Trailer, Truck Camper.  No Tents or Pop-Up trailers.  

Primitive Camping
Camping for tents, pop-up, tent or folding camping trailers and Truck Campers.  No generators will be permitted.  Camping spaces are approximately 20' X 50' each.  Campers will be parked on a first come, first serve basis.  The campground location is subject to change dependent upon weather and ground conditions.

All occupants of the motorhome area and camp ground must have a weekend pass.  Please call our office with any of your questions.

Upon purchase you will be provided with a list of motorhome or primitive camping rules and regulations.
