North Central Division NHRA Summit Racing Series Team Finals

Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio is proud to be the new home of the NHRA North Central Division Summit ET Racing Series Team Finals beginning in 2024!

Racers who qualify will be part of history at the prestigious event on Sept. 11-15, 2024 as it moves from its previous longtime home at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in Indiana. Making it even more rewarding, winners will advance to the NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to race toward a world championship!

To qualify, Summit Motorsports Park racers must be a member of the Finish Line Club, and points accrue from April 20-Aug. 17, 2024. For a team of 32 racers, the top 9 will be eligible from Edelbrock Super Pro, Edelbrock Pro and Edelbrock Sportsman Delivered on Time by TFC Transportation, and the top 5 will be eligible from Wiseco/CycleTech Super Bike. Each team member will receive a jacket, hat and shirt, plus free car and driver entry. TFC Transportation will sponsor the team uniforms and pay $500 to any Summit Motorsports Park racer who wins in her or his class at the event!

In addition to Summit Motorsports Park, NHRA North Central Division member tracks include Byron Dragway, Coles County Dragway, World Wide Technology Raceway, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, Wabash Valley Dragway, Wagler Motorsports Park, Beech Bend Raceway Park, Ohio Valley Dragway, Milan Dragway, Edgewater Motorsports Park and National Trail Raceway.

The NHRA North Central Division Summit ET Racing Series Team Finals will include a test and tune, bonus races, Race of Champions and Team Spirit Contest. There will also be giveaways from many of the supporting sponsors!

Summit Motorsports won the NHRA North Central Division Summit Racing Series Team Finals

2022 

Summit Motorsports Park captured a second-place finish at the NHRA North Central Division Summit Racing Series Team Finals. Carl Keil won in Super Pro, A.J. Buchanan won in Pro, Garreth Sheppeard won in Motorcycle and Codie Balcom won in the Sunoco Sportsman Race of Champions. Keil and Sheppeard went on to become 2022 world champions. 

2023

Team Summit Motorsports Park finished in first place! Additionally, Jim Ring earned the win in Sportsman, which qualified him to race toward a World Championship at the NHRA Nevada Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway! John Boes earned the runner-up finish in Super Pro, Brandon Buchanan earned the runner-up finish in High School, Aubrey Collins won Best Appearing in Super Pro, Matt Ball won Best Appearing in Pro, Matt Short won Best Appearing in Super Bike, Scott Chitty won Best Appearing in Sportsman, Madie Fenn-Yasenosky won the Super Pro Bonus Race, Matt Ball won the Pro Bonus Race and Beth Hurst was the runner-up in the Sportsman Bonus Race.
