Rain is a word no racer likes to hear, and its presence prevented the completion of the Bear Motorsports Junior Dragster presented by Wiseco categories at the Edelbrock Super Series race the morning of April 27, 2024 at Summit Motorsports Park.
The series’ other categories were run through completion in the evening, however, and as always, the racers were on their game while gunning for wins.
In the final round of Edelbrock Super Pro eliminations, Matt Cornell motored to the Summit Motorsports Park Winner’s Circle when Scott Sill recorded an oh-so-close -.001 red light.
Edelbrock Pro saw Jeff Hura and Nick Hastings stage against each other, and Hura won when Hastings clicked it -.005 red.
Reining Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike champion Craig Adams amazed with a perfect .000 reaction time to defeat equally tough racer Matt Short, and making the round even more exciting is the fact that both riders stopped the clocks at 4.916.
Jeffrey Pishner and Larry Strohscher faced off in Edelbrock Sportsman Delivered on Time by TFC Transportation, and Pishner picked up the win with an .055 reaction time and a 7.51 to Strohscher’s .062 and 7.43.
In Edelbrock Stock, Dylan Gill was victorious over Cam Howard, who turned on the red light.
Glan Gates and Landon King lined up alongside each other in NHRA Junior Street, and Gates came out on top with an .086 and a 10.17 to King’s .032 and 9.19.
Summit Motorsports Park congratulates the winners!
The next Edelbrock Super Series race is set for May 4.
