There was everything from rip-roaring action to record attendance all year long at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, and extra elements will ensure that 2020 is even bigger, better and more breathtaking.
Drivers will dive in for the 39th Annual Spring Warm-Up, April 11, and then the 14th Annual Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser, one of the largest NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events in the country, May 15-17.
Cruise-ins and fun-runs will be part of the 6th Annual Super Summit, June 5-6, and the 26th Annual Hot Rod Power Tour will get in gear with its first of seven stops on June 7. The PDRA (Professional Drag Racers Association) begins what is sure to be a riveting run at America’s Racetrack, June 11-13, and Top Fuel Dragsters, Funny Cars and other furiously fast cars will take over for the 14th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, June 25-28.
In addition to a considerable number of classic cars, there will be a just-announced Fuel show for the 19th Annual Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Blue Suede Cruise presented by ScottRods Custom Hot Rods and Fiberglass, July 10-12.
After that, catch Darts, Daytonas and other dream-worthy cars at the 8th Annual Monster Mopar Weekend, July 24-26, and everything from Grand Villes to GTOS at the 29th Annual Ames Performance Pontiac Nationals, July 31-Aug. 2.
Last year’s 42nd Annual Kelly Night Under Fire saw more fans, more flames and more fanfare than ever, but the 43rd Kelly Night Under Fire promises to be even more action-packed with a new lineup of entertainers, Aug. 8, and cars with power-adder and naturally-aspirated combinations will be in cutthroat competition at the 19th Annual NMCA All American Nationals, Aug. 27-30.
Hot Rod Drag Week hauls in on Sept. 15, followed by Street Outlaws — No Prep Kings, Oct. 2-3, and hundreds of sportsman racers will be haunting at the Cometic Gasket Halloween Classic XLVII presented by Harland Sharp, Oct. 10-18.
