After a few weeks off, Edelbrock Super Series racers returned to action on July 13, 2024 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
With just three races remaining in this year’s series, they were eager to enjoy every minute of the event while also gunning to get to the Summit Motorsports Park Winner’s Circle. As always, the level of competition was laudable.
In the final round of eliminations in Edelbrock Super Pro, Jono Gerber ripped off a .005 reaction time and won at the hit when Kevin McCullough turned on the red light with an -.010.
In Edelbrock Pro, Nick Hastings went to the Summit Motorsports Park Winner’s Circle again, this time with an .010 reaction time and 6.12 elapsed time against Brian Green, who had a solid pass with an .020 reaction time and 5.78 elapsed time.
Kevin Adams and Eric Harmon crushed the throttles on their motorcycles and took off in the final roound of eliminations in Wiseco/Cycle Tech Super Bike, and Adams arrived at the win with an 8.51 to Harmon’s 8.00.
The Edelbrock Sportsman Delivered on Time by TFC Transportation final put the spotlight on Codie Balcom and Nick Hastings. Both racers had super-quick reaction times, and Balcom beelined to the win with an 11.72 to Hastings’ 12.12.
In Bear Motorsports Advanced Junior Dragster presented by Wiseco, Brylan Biondo won on the starting line when Logan Buckley went -.009 red.
Jaiden England and Kace Shupp faced each other in the Bear Motorsports Intermediate Junior Dragster presented by Wiseco final round of eliminations, and Jaiden won as the tree dropped and Kace turned on the red light.
Bear Motorsports Novice Junior Dragster presented by Wiseco saw Garrison Tackett and Abigail Baehr dial in, and Garrison took the win with a 12.27 to Abigail’s 12.06
In Edelbrock Stock, Kevin Sorgen defeated Janet Howard with an 18.97 to Howard’s 14.36.
Arielle Kuhlman and Caiden Callipare came together for NHRA Junior Street final round of eliminations, and Kuhlman, who was ready with an .016 reaction time, took the win when Callipare clicked on the red light.
The NHRA Summit King of the Track program for winners was featured at this event, and Nick Hastings pulled off the win with a 6.12 against Kevin Adams, who stopped the clocks at 5.34. For his hard work, Hastings earned a highly desirable NHRA Wally as well as an NHRA Summit King of the Track hat.

Noticeably missing over the weekend were the Bear Motorsports Junior Dragster presented by Wiseco racers who were holding their own and making us proud at the NHRA Right Trailers Junior Drag Racing League Eastern Conference Finals presented by Mike Bos Chassis Craft at Bristol Dragway in Tennessee.
The final two races on this year’s Edelbrock Super Series are set for Aug. 10 and Aug. 17.
