The Cometic Gasket Halloween Classic XLVIII presented by Harland Sharp is a time-honored week-long spirited seasonal event that begins on Saturday, Oct. 9, when pre-registered racers can move-in based upon their entry number.
Sunday, Oct. 10: It's Halloween mixed with horsepower as gates open at 8 a.m., time trials begin at 9 a.m. and racing begins at 2 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 11: The overall winner of the Dornan's Sales & Service Practice Tree Race will receive a set of slicks, while the runner-up will receive a set of front tires. Refreshments will be served.
Tuesday, Oct. 12: A fun new format has been unveiled for the Tuesday, Oct. 12 running of the Cometic Gasket Halloween Classic XLVIII presented by Harland Sharp at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. It features the General RV Center Pit Vehicle Mania, with Golf Cart, Scooter, Mini Bike, Outlaw categories. Vehicles can run up to 31.99 seconds on the eighth-mile. Time trials, with one or two sessions depending on participation, will begin at 11 a.m., with eliminations to follow. Payouts are $300 winner, $100 runner-up, $50 semifinalists, $5 first round and other round win. Additionally, the runoff winner receives a $1,000 prepaid VISA card courtesy of General RV Center. The cost for General RV Center Pit Vehicle Mania is $10 for car and driver. The evening will end with the Cometic Gasket Halloween Classic XLVIII presented by Harland Sharp Rockin’ Eve Party, 7-11 p.m. Gates will open at 9 a.m. and then remain open 24 hours. Tech will be offered 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
