As many of you know, staffing challenges continue to plaque all of us. While Bill's goal is to always complete every race started, 600+ cars racing in the University Hospitals Start Your Engines Race (based on 2022 numbers), presents some unique challenges to complete in a single day. The first time trial alone, assuming minimal breakage, will take between 5-6 hours. With a prompt 8:30 a.m. start in the morning, one time trial plus first round will take us approximately 12-hours to run.

That being said, in a perfect world, with minimal breakage and great weather, we will enter round 2 at approximately 8:30 p.m. Sunday evening. While Bill's goal is to always run to completion, realistically, we will run as much of the race as we can given the circumstances. With a little luck, no breakage and beautiful weather, we can be completed by 1:00 a.m.

The runner-up will receive a $1,000 Dart Machinery Gift Certificate and semifinalists will receive a $100 Dart Machinery Gift Certificate.
