The 46th Annual Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire will be an exceptionally electrifying experience for race fans, Aug. 5, 2023 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, especially since we are celebrating 60 years of Summit Motorsports Park and 50 years of the Bader family's ownership of it!
The Hooligans Flight Team will perform a dramatic flyover during opening ceremonies, and famous Funny Car racers John Force, Ron Capps, Robert Hight, Cruz Pedregon, Tim Wilkerson and Dale Creasy Jr. will be part of the sensational show, as will fan-favorite Jet Dragster drivers Ernie Bogue, Russ Glover, Jeff Hoekstra, Josh Graham, Dawn Perdue and David Gates, who will be gunning for an North American Jet Car Championship!
Keep an eye on Jet Truck performer Hayden Proffitt, and don't miss fierce Top Fuel Harley-Davidson Motorcycle riders Ryan Peery, Jay Turner, Tii Tharpe, Randal Andras, Chris Smith and Bob Malloy.
Joe Sylvester, who set a Guinness World Record for the World's Fastest Monster Truck at last year's event, returns for this year's event, and Wheelstanders wheeled by Jim Brewer and Steve Harper will aim for the sky! Outllaw Dragster and Scottrods AA/Gassers will be in action and Top Alcohol Dragster racers JP Gutierrez of Gutierrez Brothers Racing and Corey Michalek of Michalek Brothers Racing will face each other and fly down track! The Edelbrock Super Series Elite presented by Lucas Oil and Rocko Machine will add to the lineup.
New for 2023, the R&R Auto Body Top Sportsman Shootout will feature eight of the finest Top Sportsman racers from the Midwest who were personally invited to race for a guaranteed purse of $5,000 in front of a packed house at the event!
A fantastic $125,000 Bader Family Signature Fireworks Finale presented by R&R Auto Body will cap off the evening, and Trainwreck Country Band will perform after the fireworks!

The Hooligans Flight Team executed an emotional and exceptional flyover during opering ceremonies at the Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire last year at Summit Motorsports Park, and the team will be back in formation for this year's show. Jim Brewer and Steve Harper will go wheels up in their wheelstanders, and try to keep the front ends of their vehicles up for as long as possible as they head toward the top end of the track!

Named Track of the Year 22 times by the NHRA, IHRA and NMCA, Summit Motorsports Park works hard to welcome racers and race fans to a well-kept facility at each and every event.
The grounds are clean, the parking lots are well-lit and paved and grass pit areas are offered.
Permanent bathrooms are maintained at all times during events, and some have showers. Portable bathrooms also are available.
Throughout clean, comfortable and convenient dining areas, guests will find breakfast, lunch and dinner selections, including burgers, sandwiches, pizza and stromboli, as well as fries, nachos and hot pretzels, among other favorites. Various beverages are available, including water, pop, coffee, Budweiser beer and more.
Wild Bill's Ice Cream Saloon, where a pint of Velvet ice cream costs $3, is a popular place to stop in the dining area. Ice cream is available in Original Vanilla, Butter Pecan & Cashew, Dutch Chocolate, Buckeye Classic, Cookies 'N Cream, Moose Tracks and Raspberry Fudge Cordial.
The Quarter Mile Clothing Company is stocked with apparel, souvenirs, novelty items and much more.
Fuel pumps, firewood, golf cart rentals from Dornan's Sales and Service, car parts and water hauling are available at most events.
Guest Service locations are prominently placed in the park.

Ohio CAT Gate Credential & Pit Parking — Racers who qualified for the Edelbrock Super Series Elite presented by Lucas Oil and Rocko Machine and Summit Racing Equipment Junior Dragster Shootout need to arrive between 10 a.m.-8 p.m. for credentials. The gates will then be open 24-hours for in and out traffic.
