TOP FUEL DRAGSTER
Powered by supercharged and fuel-injected engines that have more than 11,000 horsepower and can burn up to fifteen gallons of nitromethane per pass, Top Fuel Dragsters are among the fastest-accelerating vehicles in the world. They can be hard to handle as they reach the finish line in fewer than 3.7 seconds at over 330 mph.
FUNNY CAR
Packing supercharged and fuel-injected engines, Funny Cars can lay down 3.8-second laps at over 330 mph, and they can be utterly unpredictable. Rather than relying on transmissions, Funny Cars put power down through their clutch assemblies activated by timers.
PRO STOCK
Pro Stock cars slightly resemble production-based cars, but they have tube chassis, four-link rear suspension and engines with 500 or fewer cubic-inches and electronic fuel-injection flowing spec gasoline. They rely on very advanced technology, can make more than 1,300 horsepower and cover the track in 6.5 seconds at over 210 mph.
PRO STOCK MOTORCYCLE
Pro Stock Motorcycles feature tube chassis and lightweight bodywork, and can cover the track in 6.8 seconds at more than 195 mph using V-Twin entries from Harley-Davidson, Victory, EBR, and Buell and inline four-cylinder-equipped Suzuki and Kawasaki models.
PRO MOD
The FuelTech NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series presented by D-Wagon sees cars with supercharger, turbo or nitrous combinations cruising to high-five-second elapsed-times at over 250 mph. Pro Mod drivers join NHRA at ten NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series events throughout the year.

In addition to all of the professional racers, hundreds of sportsman racers will show what they're made of and stand out in Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Competition Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster and Factory Stock Showdown.
FAN-RACER INTERACTION
One of the many great things about the annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals is that fans can walk the professional and sportsman pit areas to watch the racers and race teams prepare their cars or motorcycles between rounds. It's quite involved and interesting, and frequently, fans get to hear and see engines being fired in the pit area. There are also opportunities to have a photo taken with a racer or to get an autograph from a racer.
FANTASTIC FIREWORKS SHOW
Summit Motorsports Park-style fireworks will close out what is sure to be an exceptionally entertaining day of racing on Friday night at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals. Watch red, white, blue and other colors fill the sky as patriotic music plays.
