The annual Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire is a time-honored tradition for many, and this year's event on Aug. 6, 2022, will feature powerful performances by the beloved Bob Motz and his jet engine-powered truck, famous Funny Car drivers John Force, Ron Capps, Cruz Pedregon, Alexis DeJoria, Robert Hight and Dale Creasy Jr., top-notch Top Fuel Motorcycle riders Larry "Spiderman" McBride, Dave Vantine, Sam Wills and Mitch Brown as well as Top Alcohol Dragsters, R&R Auto Body and DeCerbo Construction Rumble Wars Extreme 8 Pro Mods, Outlaw Dragsters and AA/Gassers. The ebay motors North American Jet Car Championship will also be in the spotlight, along with Wheelstanders. Joe Sylvester will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the first Monster Truck to record 101 mph in his Bad Habit Monster Truck, and event sponsor Cornwell Tools will offer company hats for the first 1,000 guests to come through the Legends Gate on Aug. 6. A fantastic fireworks display will end the evening. Various ticket levels are available, including John Force Winner’s Circle tickets, for fans who want an elevated experience. Joe Sylvester of Canfield, Ohio will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the first Monster Truck to record 101 mph. Sylvester and his team built the tube chassis for his Monster Truck, and he relies on a methanol-sipping 555 cubic-inch Chevrolet engine by VZ Engines paired with a supercharger. A two-speed Powerglide by Abruzzi Racing Transmissions and Converters helps put the power down. Sylvester, who will use custom slicks rather than his usual tires under his 13,000-pound Monster Truck at the Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire, is no stranger to amazing accomplishments, as he set a Guiness World Record for the longest jump in a Monster Truck, 237 feet, in 2013.
