Heidi Adams is Hightailing it in Pro at Halloween Classic

When asked how many years she’s been coming to the Quick Fuel Technology Halloween Classic presented by Harland Sharp at Summit Motorsports Park, Heidi Adams struggles to come up with the exact number of years before smiling, shrugging her shoulders and saying “I’ve been coming for as long as I can remember.”

And that’s not an exaggeration, as she grew up watching her dad, Jim Adams, uncles Mickey Adams and Brian Butler and grandmother, Judy Adams, race. Now, she and her sister, Brittany Adams, race their own Camaros, and the whole lot of them are forces to be reckoned with.

During this weekend's Quick Fuel Technology Halloween Classic presented by Harland Sharp, the Michigan resident is entered in the Pro category, where she’s been running consistent 6.50s in the eighth-mile.

In typical Adams fashion, Heidi — who chatted with us as she prepped her car in the lanes while her crew chief, Scott Springer, paid attention to how other cars were running — deadpanned that she could be better on the tree this weekend and needed to “step it up a bit.”

But a review of her timeslips, and the fact that she's already won three rounds today, reveals that she’s actually fine right where she is.
