RACER INFORMATION: AMES PERFORMANCE TRI POWER PONTIAC NATIONALS

Calling All Pontiac Bodied and Powered Race Vehicles!
Rick Cole Jr 2013 Chief of the Pontiacs!
Drag Racing at the Ames Performance Tri-Power Pontiac Nationals happens all weekend starting with the “Hammertime Racing” Test & Tune Friday.  Two bonus races, “Vintage Mechanical Works” Box and “Ram Air Restoration” No Box will also be contested and it only costs $20 (racers must purchase a $70 weekend drag racing entry in order to participate in the bonus races.)

Payout for both Box/No Box Bonus Races:  Winner $500; Runner-Up $250; Semi’s $100 and Quarters $50.

If you like to bracket race we’ve got a class for you, all you need to bring is a vehicle that is either Pontiac Body and/or powered by Pontiac!  GMC’s can complete also.  Dragsters must have traditional Pontiac engines and not CORPORATE MOTORS!  The Main Event will run to completion on Saturday and again on Sunday.   Saturday bracket class winners receive a FREE ENTRY into next year’s event compliments of Super Duty Promotions.  Sunday bracket class winners receive a FREE ENTRY into next year’s event compliments of Ames Performance Engineering.  Class winners from both days will run-off at the end of the event on Sunday to see who will become this year’s 1A Auto Parts “Chief of the Pontiacs”.  The “Chief” will also receive $500 and a custom leather jacket.  Runner-up takes home a cool $250!

Got a door car that goes fast and you’re not into bracket racing?  No problem!  Butler Performance and K&M Performance MR-1 will be sponsoring two Heads-Up classes.  These two classes will feature some of the fastest Pontiacs being built today!
