Compulink TruSTART to be Used at Halloween Classic

After studying Compulink TruSTART and its benefits to bracket racers, Summit Motorsports Park president Bill Bader, Jr. announced that it will be used during the Halloween Classic XLIII presented by Harland Sharp, Oct. 16-23, 2016 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

When both racers on the starting line record a negative reaction time, the recently released timing system recognizes the racer with the least negative reaction time as the winner, whereas the time-honored timing system recognizes the racer with the last negative reaction time as the winner.

A win light will illuminate after both racers have left the starting line.

“Our sport was able to calculate a breakout long before it could measure a reaction time,” said Bader, Jr. “As a result, we adopted the idea that the first red was final, and it was never given another thought. Now, we have the ability to treat two red reaction times in the same manner we treat a double breakout, by severity instead of whomever does it first. I think its a profound step forward in leveling the playing field.”

Billed as the “world’s largest Halloween Party,” the Halloween Classic XLIII presented by Harland Sharp features racing, Halloween-themed games and contests including Candy Corn Hole, Mickey Thompson Token Joke Day and Trick Flow Specialties Limerick Day,  as well as the Trick Flow Specialties Bumper-Draggin’ Airshow, pumpkin-carving and more.

Additionally, Trainwreck Country Band will take the stage after racing on Oct. 21, 2016.
