Update on Summit Motorsports Park Track Lighting Project

Palpable progress is being made daily in the state-of-the art lighting project to illuminate both sides of the track surface at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

While holes have been already been dug for the fifteen galvanized steel light poles, trenches are currently being made to accommodate a single roll of conduit that will run nearly a mile from the head of staging to the sandtrap - 4,500 feet - to house the wiring. A separate roll of conduit encasing wiring will extend to each of the poles.

“I’m very pleased with our progress,” said Bill Bader, Jr., Summit Motorsports Park president. “We’re moving right along.”

The park's 2016 season begins with the the 35th Annual Drive Train Specialists Spring Warm-Up on April 16, and the $400,000 lighting project - performed by Musco with Summit Motorsports Park facilities manager Matt Welsh as the project manager - is slated to be completed in time for the park's 10th Annual Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser, May 20-22, 2016.

Summit Motorsports Park is at 1300 State Route 18, Norwalk, Ohio. For information, please visit www.summitmotorsportspark.com or call 419-668-5555.
