Once again, Summit Motorsports Park is sponsoring “Light Up Norwalk” in downtown Norwalk, Saturday November 30th to kick off the holiday season!
Saturday November 30th is also Small Business Saturday. The locally owned businesses in Norwalk will be open late on this Saturday to assist with the festivities of the day. Shops featuring unique one of a kind gift ideas will pamper you with great merchandise, entertainment, and treats. Shop till you drop, then relax with the big guy in red at the Norwalk Public Library from 2-4pm. Want to learn a little bit about the history of the area? Then visit the Firelands Museum for their Holiday Open House from 3-6pm (free admission!) And then enjoy as 'Light Up Norwalk" takes over the streets at 4pm. Carriage rides, Elves, Snowmen, the Grinch, free refreshments and much more await to make the magic of the holiday season come alive! Children can enjoy working with the elves in Santa’s Workshop, and decorating cookies with our resident bakers.
Musical entertainment begins at 4:30pm with local talent and school choirs. Then at 7pm “The Ryan Humbert Band” rounds out the musical entertainment.
Santa Claus will use his magic to light the Christmas tree, decorated with over 4000 lights. After the concert, grab some hot chocolate and a candy cane and stroll through Norwalk’s historic district with its lighted tree lined streets and be amazed by the lighted holiday window displays of the local District businesses. Be sure to bring your camera and capture the memories you make in Uptown Norwalk this holiday season!
