Sharky’s Machine strikes at the Funny Car Fox Hunt.

NORWALK, Ohio – Visitors to the Funny Car Fox Hunt beware on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

Sharky’s Machine churns up pavement with a savage hunger for speed. Those teeth mean business.

A 1979 Dodge Omni owned by Lance Good, SharkSharky's Machine owned by Lance Good.y’s Machine seared the track in a BB Funny Car class in the 1980’s and 1990’s, said Dennis Salzwimmer, director of the Great Lakes Nostalgia Funny Car Circuit, Akron, Ohio.

Lance Good, a counselor for special needs children in the Pittsburgh area, bought Sharky’s Machine in the mid 1990’s, Dennis Salzwimmer said.

“His car was put together by Chuck Finders, who used to run old Gassers,” Dennis Salzwimmer said, adding local race fans probably will recognize Sharky’s Machine. “It ran in the Mid-American Funny Car Circuit. It was owned by Kurt Brown from Cleveland.”

Drivers and crews in the Great Lakes Nostalgia Funny Car Circuit bring Hero Cards and enjoy signing autographs and speaking with fans, Dennis Salzwimmer said, so walk the family through the pits for a close-up view and photos.
