NORWALK, Ohio – Courtney Force won RACER magazine Rookie of the Year award, voted on by RACER’s global readership.
Courtney Force, 24, Yorba Linda, Calif., also voted 2012 NHRA Rookie of the Year, drives the Traxxas Ford Mustang Funny Car for John Force Racing.
The RACER Rookie of the Year includes NASCAR, Indy Car and Formula 1 rookies. Courtney Force lines up as the first National Hot Rod Association driver to win the award, according to RACER editor David Malsher.

Top Fuel pilot Antron Brown, 37, Pittsboro, Ind., who won the 2012 NHRA World Championship in the Matco Tools dragster of Don Schumacher Racing, won the RACER magazine Drag Racer of the Year honors.
Antron Brown shifted the focus onto the Matco Tools team and the crew at the Don Schumacher Racing shop in Brownsburg, Ind.
Also, Antron Brown presented Indiana Governor Mike Pence with an NHRA Wally award March 6, 2013 during Indiana Motorsports Day honors at the Indiana Legislature and Statehouse in Indianapolis.
